On October 31st, the first accounting and financial case competition in the Digital Economy erawhich was organized by the Technical Innovation Committee of the Shanghai Engineering Management Society, and sponsored by the Accounting Department of the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USSTBS) and the Undergraduate School of USST (Dean’s Office) was held online in the form of live webcast and Tencent meeting. The competition received nearly 100 entries from 28 universities and scientific research institutions across the country. After layers of screening, a total of 18 teams were entered the final, more than 200 students and teachers from Northeastern University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xiamen National Accounting Institute, Zhejiang Gongshang University, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and Nanjing Tech University and so on participated in.
The opening ceremony of the final was hosted by He Qiang, a teacher from the Accounting Department of USST BS. The judges were Zhang Zheng, deputy dean of USST, and Hu Ren Yu, professor of accounting at the East China University of Science and Technology, professor Zhu Jian Guo and Professor Song Liang Rong from Department of Accounting, USST. Vice president Zhang Zheng and professor Hu Ren Yu delivered speeches through live webcast platforms.
Wang Wan Jun and Song Xin, teachers of the Accounting Department of USST, respectively presided over the panel presentation session. The atmosphere of the cloud final was warm, the team members reported attentively and brilliantly, and the judges’ comments were rigorous and professional, which were as expected. After a day of fierce and intense competition, and based on the judges’ scores and discussions, the winners of this competition were announced as follows (see Annex 1 for a summary of the winners, including the outstanding awards).

The closing ceremony of the final was presided over by Chen Zhi Yong, a teacher from the Accounting Department of USST BS. Professor Hu Ren Yu, Professor Zhu Jian Guo, Professor Song Liang Rong and Associate Professor He Qiang read out the list of the Grand Prize, First prize, Second Prize and Third prize in the final of the competition respectively and congratulated the winners. Chen Zhi Yong concluded that the competition on the era of Digital Economy era of accounting and financial transformation of the theme of the Times, achieved remarkable results, and look forward to the next year we see you in Shanghai.
